Introducttion:
Roman Mockovčák/Mockovcak has been dedicated to photography for over two decades. Since 2001, he has worked in Belgium, the USA (Washington), France (Paris), and Unitet Kingdom (London).
During his time in Paris, portrait, fashion, and glamour photography became the core themes of his work. He returned to Slovakia in 2020, where he continues to live and create. He also engages in experimental photography, including blacklight (lumière noire), underwater photography, cyanotype, and platinotype.
He has honed his skills through numerous workshops led by photographers such as Robert Vano, David Kraus, Martin Skřivánek, Adolf Zika, Paul Szimak, Rodislav Driben, and Marián Weber.
He published work in international fashion and photography magazines and has exhibited extensively, particularly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Additionally, he has participated in dozens of photography salons, obtaining awards in over twenty countries.
Member of the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP), the International Association of Art Photographers (IAAP), the Photographic Society of America (PSA), and the Slovak Federation of Photographers (SFF-FIAP).
Participating in projects by Czech and Slovak photographers—such as "60tina" and "ART-AKT"—and has contributed to the books "Women 2025" and "Women 2026" (photographic publications featuring independent Czech and Slovak photographers).
